December 14 (2006):
It was on this day that the historic bill to provide 27% reservation to OBCs in Central Educational Institutions was passed unanimously in Lok Sabha.
This bill after legal battle, was enforced from 2008 in IIT, IIM, AIIMS etc. and today our OBC students were able to enter into these higher schools of excellence. Thanks to Mr.Arjun Singh, then HRD Minister for his sustained efforts and UPA-I government and all political parties and social organisations.
AIOBC Federation played a pivotal role under the leadership of Thiru.V.Narayanasamy and Thiru.V.Hanumantha Rao,M.P. as Convenor of OBC MPs Forum.
