We inform the public that we demand that the untouchables should be allowed
to enter the temples, go inside and have darshan of god, should be allowed totouch the idol and worship and there should not be different places in the
temples for us and the Brahmins not because these things will increase
devotion or will increase benefits from god.
Since the restrictions in the temples harm the self-respect of people and they
are the basis of inequality in the society, we want to annihilate all these. We
are not demanding equal rights in temples not because we are so foolish to
believe that god will only be there if at all a god exists, one will get more
benefits because he went close to that stone idol, and so on.
